Mr Plaha is a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacements for adults with a special interest in hand and foot surgery. He is dedicated to providing the highest possible personalised care for all his patients.

He started his post graduate medical training in 1972 Bombay gaining his fellowship of the college of physicians & surgeons of Bombay in 1975. Whilst working in major trauma centres in Bombay he acquired a broad training in general, paediatric and vascular surgery as well as gaining experience in plastic surgery and the management of upper and lower limb injuries. He wanted to have a comprehensive understanding of most surgical specialities before pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery.

He then moved to England where he continued his training in orthopaedics gaining FRCS Edinburgh, FRCS England & FRCS (Orth) Edinburgh. He completed his training in orthopaedic surgery in various hospitals around London.

In 1992 he became a consultant where he continued in trauma and general orthopaedics with a special interest in lower limb reconstructive surgery. He regularly attends training courses in England and Europe keeping abreast of new techniques.

In his spare time Mr Plaha enjoys watching cricket and has a very busy family life devoting much of his spare time to his 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
